The strawberry is a perennial herbaceous fruit plant with high nutritional and economic value, widely distributed, with brightly colored, soft and juicy fruit and a balanced sweet-and-sour taste and rich nutrition; it therefore enjoys the reputation of "Queen of Fruits". It is also suitable for protected cultivation, coming to market before New Year's Day, with high economic returns.Strawberries are delicious, but anyone who has grown strawberries has encountered deformed fruit. So what causes it?

First, unreasonable temperatures. The most suitable temperature for strawberry growth and development is 20-25 degrees, and during the flowering and fruiting period the lowest temperature should not fall below 5 degrees. Lower temperatures will affect the growth and pollination of strawberries, and deformed fruit easily appears. So the temperature in the greenhouse must be well controlled.During the day, keep the greenhouse temperature at 20-25 degrees, at night at 8-10 degrees, and keep humidity at 50%-60%.

Second, if light is insufficient during the flowering period, or if cloudy and rainy weather occurs, the accumulation of starch needed for pollen germination will be inhibited, thereby reducing the pollen germination rate and harming fertilization

Third, too much or too little fertilizer will both affect the quality of flower bud differentiation and is unfavorable for normal pollination. Deformed fruit easily forms. Water and fertilizer management must be strengthened.
