Growing bok choy on the balcony: pick and eat anytime, convenient and fresh
When it comes to bok choy, everyone is probably familiar with it; it is grown in both the north and south of our country. Bok choy is the vegetable richest in minerals and vitamins, and it is also a common dish on people's daily tables. It can promote bowel movement and boost the body's metabolism, among other things.
Today, the editor will talk with you about the small-scale balcony growing technique for such an approachable vegetable as bok choy: grow it yourself, harvest it yourself, and enjoy fresh bok choy anytime. Why not do it?

First, choose a container. Choose the container size according to your personal needs, then fill the container with soil, apply a base fertilizer, and water the soil with a layer of water until it soaks through.
Step two, evenly scatter the bok choy seeds you prepared beforehand onto the soil. Spread them evenly but not too densely, otherwise the seedlings will become leggy after they emerge. After scattering the seeds, cover them with a layer of fine soil about 1 cm thick. Be careful not to cover them too deeply, otherwise it will hinder the seeds from emerging.
Step three, after a few days the seeds will gradually sprout. At this point, if the seedlings are growing too densely, you can thin some of them out by pulling them at intervals to prevent the seedlings from becoming leggy.
Step four, the seedlings will slowly grow larger. During this period, you need to keep checking whether the soil is dry or moist. If the soil is rather dry, you can water it with a spray bottle, but remember not to flood-irrigate it.
Step five, after about two months, the bok choy will have grown up. When you start harvesting, pick the larger ones first by thinning, and leave the smaller ones to continue growing.
Isn't growing bok choy on the balcony both simple and convenient? What are you waiting for? Get moving. Self-sufficiency brings plenty of food and clothing.
