Two-crop planting helps farmland go green for the winter

For days, the fields contracted by Cui Haiming, a major vegetable grower in Shihai Village, Gaibei Town, have been a scene of busy activity. This year, the area he planted with mustard greens increased from 300 mu last year to more than 400 mu.

It is reported that Gaibei Town is a major planting base for the "two crops" in our district. Every year after the Start of Winter, farmers use the land under grape trellises and idle miscellaneous plots to plant the "two crops," with a planting area of around 20,000 mu.
