In recent years, as the watermelon planting area has grown larger and larger and continuous cropping has become more and more common, pests, diseases and weeds have occurred more and more seriously. In order to increase yield and reduce losses, chemical pesticides must be sprayed to prevent and control pests, diseases and weeds. Due to non-standard spraying operations and unreasonable use of pesticides and other reasons, pesticide damage occurs from time to time. After pesticide damage occurs to watermelons, the watermelons become deformed, growth and development are hindered, and yield and quality are reduced, seriously harming the interests of the broad community of melon farmers. If pesticide damage occurs, measures must be taken quickly to remedy it and reduce losses. The remedial measures are as follows:

1. Spray growth regulators and foliar fertilizers in a timely manner. When pesticide damage symptoms appear in the field, promptly spray Bihu or brassinolide plus Meizhouxing or seaweed acid or amino acid multi-element foliar fertilizer to alleviate the damage and promote watermelon growth and development. Do not apply inhibitory growth regulators such as paclobutrazol, otherwise the pesticide damage will be worsened.

2. Rinse with water in a timely manner. If the pesticide was sprayed excessively or at too high a concentration, promptly spray clean water continuously 2-3 times on the affected watermelon field to reduce the pesticide concentration and decrease the amount of pesticide residue on the leaves.

3. Do a good job of field management. Pesticide damage will reduce the function of watermelon leaves, inhibit photosynthesis, and cause watermelons to show symptoms of fertilizer deficiency. At this time, quick-acting chemical fertilizers or foliar fertilizers should be applied in a timely manner. According to the seasonal characteristics of watermelon growth, apply urea or ternary compound fertilizer in a timely manner to promote rapid watermelon growth and improve the plant's own ability to resist pesticide damage. Combined with topdressing and watering, carry out intertillage and soil loosening to increase soil aeration and soil temperature, which can promote root development and enhance the plant's recovery ability.
