Two toddlers mistake pesticide for a drink: Lanzhou traffic police open a life channel in 8 minutes
China Gansu Net, February 27 (Lanzhou Evening News report, reporter Wang Xiaogang) "Officer, please save my child!" At around 10 pm on February 25, the Xiguoyuan Squadron of the Gongjiawan Traffic Police Brigade received a distress call from Mr. Zhou, saying that his car was carrying two critically ill toddlers who urgently needed to be taken to the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital for emergency treatment. Because he was unfamiliar with the route and traffic was congested, he was afraid of delaying the children's treatment and hoped the traffic police would help. After receiving the report, the Xiguoyuan Squadron of the Gongjiawan Traffic Police Brigade immediately arranged for officers to wait at the Lanzhou-Lintao Expressway exit. When the vehicle Mr. Zhou was riding in drove out of the expressway, the officers drove a police car to escort it and clear the way. In just 8 minutes, the officers delivered the children safely to the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital.
It is understood that the two toddlers came from Linxia. At around 5 pm that day, they mistakenly drank pesticide as if it were a beverage. The local hospital gave them simple treatment, but due to limited medical capabilities, they urgently needed to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment
