Old Du grows strawberries in two greenhouses. He has been growing them for seven or eight years, but because he never systematically learned strawberry growing techniques, he relies on experience to solve some problems. Now that cold air is arriving, how should the temperature in the greenhouses be managed? Old Du went to the plant protection station to find a senioragronomistand invited the senior agronomist to visit his strawberry growing area to see exactly how it should be done.

Temperature control

The senior agronomist said that throughout the greenhouse growing process, temperature is still relatively critical. As for strawberries, the higher the temperature, the smaller the strawberries will grow. The maximum temperature should not exceed 28°C. In fact, the most suitable temperature for strawberry growth is 25°C. This must be remembered. Otherwise, the strawberries will start to change color before they have even grown, which greatly reduces our returns. So when you see the temperature inside the greenhouse rise to around 25°C, quickly open the vents, and you must get the timing right.

Temperature control

The minimum temperature must be kept above 10°C. The method to raise the nighttime temperature is very simple: just be a little more diligent with your hands. That is, when lowering the thermal insulation quilt, do it in two stages as much as possible. Depending on the weather, lower it to the shoulder of the greenhouse around 4 p.m., and after sunset lower the thermal insulation quilt completely.

Temperature control

After hearing this, Old Du said the method was too simple. Previously it was because it was too troublesome and he had not thought that much about it. Now he will do it according to this method and hopes to have a good harvest.
