"The Glory of Tang Dynasty" Winter Pearl couple's consummation sweet scene concludes, "Tang Dynasty Pesticide" starts the torture today

These past two days, "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" and "Eternal Love" have been spreading sugar so insanely that Xiao Yi successfully went to the hospital to have a tooth pulled! Feeling sorry for this pretty good-looking wisdom tooth...

Just look at how awful these two dramas airing at the same time are, handing out sugar at the drop of a hat! Add "General's Alone Fragrance" to the mix, and all three dramas actually had consummation scenes last night! Uh, does that sound a bit weird? But Xiao Yi knows those of you chasing these dramas definitely understand!

It's just that the consummation scenes in "Eternal Love" and "General's Alone Fragrance" looked like this ↓

General's Alone Fragrance

Compare that to "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" - the Prince of Guangping couple's consummation and all they showed us was a kerosene lamp! Hahahahaha! What are you trying to say?

So those of you who've fallen into the "Tang Dynasty Pesticide" pit, seeing this, the loving Dong Lang and Shen Zhenzhu have finally resolved all their misunderstandings and can be together properly?

But do you still remember the warning Xiao Yi gave two days ago? "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" is a full-cast BE! Those who don't remember, please click ☞ to review: "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" Jing Tian replaces Tang Yan, 99% of people don't know this!

They say the male and female leads of a big drama won't simply live happily together, especially a love caught between imperial power struggles and historical upheavals? Overall, this drama focusing on ancient costume legend still gives equal weight to power schemes and emotional storylines. Beyond romantic entanglements, there are also changes in the protagonists' fortunes against the backdrop of a great era. Mixed with the bewildering development of feelings, even true love cannot escape the trials and torment of reality.

Alright, it's time for Xiao Yi to give those of you dizzy from all the sweetness a toxic high-torture warning for "The Glory of Tang Dynasty"! The following contains massive spoilers, those who don't want to be spoiled just skip ahead!!Torture, just one word.

Honestly, because I'd read the original novel, Xiao Yi was quite wary of this drama - after all, there's far too much glass shards. But who knew, as I watched, my old maiden heart was teased beyond measure by the Asian Vinegar King, the Prince of Guangping, making me want to pound his chest with little fists. But what must come will come! Look!

Starting today, both the main and secondary couples are entering tortured-love mode!

Winter Pearl couple

Tonight, you'll discover that Shen Zhenzhu's romantic rival Cui Caiping is pregnant.

What's even more terrifying is that the male lead Li Chu inadvertently takes the blame for the murderer who wiped out Shen Zhenzhu's entire family... Because in the original novel, He Lingyi, whom Li Chu deeply trusts, is someone the Crown Princess planted in the Guangping Prince's mansion. Some say He Lingyi killed Shen Yizhi's whole family, which is why Shen Yizhi didn't blow the Prince of Guangping's whistle (the evidence being that before dying, Shen Yizhi said something like "so it was you").

If that's really the case, it'll be even more torturous, because if Yang Guozhong had killed them, Li Chu would definitely clear his name, but if his own people did it, he'd shoulder the blame himself. So in the next episode preview he says it - all retribution should come to him, feels like foreshadowing.

So misunderstandings and revenge are all foreseeable. Therefore, those super sweet little moments you love, like Li Chu's ears turning red whenever he films an intimate scene - you'd all better rewatch those little pink moments plenty, because they're gone from now on, everyone's crying, all kinds of crying...

The most tragic heroine in history's bitter journey is about to begin!

Amid the intertwining of various forces, Shen Zhenzhu's fate becomes even more miserable. Not only does she suffer a miscarriage in the mansion, she also has to misunderstand that the massacre of her entire family was ordered by the male lead, the Prince of Guangping.

Later she's kidnapped by design, and even goes blind along the way.

Also, during the An Lushan Rebellion, Shen Zhenzhu gives birth alone, trapped in enemy camp...

So torturous!

And that's not all! Next, you'll also encounter the secret about the Yunnan Dugu family's Qilin Token that's been building up for 16 episodes.

Dugu Jingyao, whom Li Chu must marry

It turns out that holding the Qilin Token and marrying the Dugu family's young lady Dugu Jingyao allows one to command the Yunnan Dugu family's troops! Of course, this character Dugu Jingyao was originally created by the screenwriters, only incorporating the personality and lines of the novel's supporting character Xue Hongxian.

This character is based on the historical Consort Dugu, played by the skilled actress Wan Qian - a lone brave woman in a political marriage who accidentally brought true feelings into it. Although her appearance will create many obstacles on the path of Li Chu and Shen Zhenzhu's love!

But she is destined to be a heartbroken, sorrowful person. After all, in the imperial harem, sincerity is the most useless thing.

The Prince of Jianning couple is also about to BE!

Having only wanted to be a happy immortal couple in the first 16 episodes but helplessly drawn into political struggles, Lin Zhi and Li Tan will become very miserable later.

This starts with the Crown Princess in the drama.

Although she looks like a good person, she has some old feelings with Shi Siming, and then the Crown Prince is no longer capable of continuing the family line, so these two had a child. But Lin Zhi knew about the Crown Prince's illness! The Crown Princess felt she knew too much, so she beat her, subjected her to every torture, and sold her to a brothel.

Then, when Li Tan went to the brothel to drink, he saw Lin Zhi and rescued her, bringing her home. But the imperial family is a place that cares about reputation, and the mansion couldn't tolerate her either. Li Tan, feeling she had been defiled, also had a knot in his heart, so Lin Zhi left in utter grief.

Lin Zhi in the heavy rain was saved by her master, and later even "lost her memory." She deeply hates Li Tan. But when Li Tan, after being framed, is given poisoned wine and is about to die, Lin Zhi still comes back to save him. But Li Tan still dies, and finally BE.

Not only these two couples are going to BE, the others aren't faring much better either.

An Qingxu dies

Mao Zijun's enduring, deeply affectionate backup character An Qingxu, is also tortured enough.

The later part will restore the historical patricide! That is An Lushan, played by Lin Xue!

But gaining the throne was useless - the beloved Shen Zhenzhu never had him in her eyes. Later, he was killed by Shi Siming, and Shi Siming was killed by his own son.

Li Ruo marries far away

Uh, this willful princess Li Ruo who fell in love with An Qingxu at first sight married into the Uyghur tribe, and later her husband died. She still liked An Qingxu, but An Qingxu's heart only had Shen Zhenzhu...

Shen Zhenzhu's maid - Hong Rui, who knows martial arts, dies

Su Ci, who doesn't know martial arts...

Fell in love with Li Chu's guard Feng Shengyi, but they never ended up together...

OK, anyway, the plot after the little wooden cabin isn't just about tortured love - almost everyone faces heavy hardships.

Add to that the historical backdrop of the An Lushan Rebellion, where Li Chu and Shen Zhenzhu are separated and lost. Although Xiao Yi doesn't know how the drama will ultimately adapt the novel, Xiao Yi can smell the BE...

Having said all this, Xiao Yi sums it up in one sentence:In the end, it seems everyone died, leaving only the male lead。Jing Tian said in an earlier interview: There are over two hundred crying scenes alone.

Some fans also said they'd quit watching once they see Jing Tian and the Prince of Guangping consummate in the little wooden cabin, otherwise they fear their heart can't take it! But Xiao Yi thinks you'll all say one thing and do another, swallowing this bowl of Tang Dynasty Pesticide with glass shards in it!

So, those of you mentally prepared for the torture, come to the Tianyi Video client, lock onto Beijing TV and Anhui TV, and start chasing the live broadcast of "The Glory of Tang Dynasty"!
