Method 1: To buy genuine and effective pesticides, first look at the packaging

There used to be a joke that went like this: "Old Wang one day felt so desperate that he wanted to end his life, so he bought a bottle of dichlorvos from the farmers' market and drank it, but nothing happened to him at all. After Old Wang's family learned about this, they even specially made a banner to thank the shop that sold the dichlorvos." Just thinking about it is really ironic.

So when we grow crops and go to the market to buy agricultural chemicals, we must also find legitimate sellers, and we must note that the packaging of the pesticide products we buy must contain the following:

(1) According to the national standard, GB3796-1983 "General Rules for Pesticide Packaging" stipulates that the outer packaging box of pesticides should use corrugated cardboard with a moisture-proof layer. The outer packaging window must have a label indicating the product name, category, specifications, gross weight, net weight, production date, batch number, storage and transportation instruction marks, and manufacturer name. At the very bottom there should also be a line indicating the pesticide category: herbicides - green; insecticides - red; fungicides - black; rodenticides - blue; plant growth regulators - dark yellow.

(2) In the outer packaging window of the pesticide, there must be a certificate of conformity and instructions. On the inner packaging of the pesticide formulation, a label must be firmly attached, or directly printed or marked on the packaging. The label content includes the generic product name, enterprise name, active ingredient, formulation type, specifications, pesticide registration certificate number, product standard code, production approval number, net weight or net volume, scope of application, method of use, application contraindications, poisoning symptoms and first aid, phytotoxicity, safety interval, storage requirements, etc.

With the above two small points, in fact, illegal sellers can still put all of these on pesticide product packaging, so many farmer friends get confused and find it hard to tell the real from the fake. That is why the following three methods exist.

Method 2: Baidu search: National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System, as shown in the figure below

After opening this website, enter the enterprise name on the pesticide packaging box into this query box, click [Query] to determine whether this enterprise exists and obtain basic information.

Note: Check the business scope of this enterprise to see whether it contains the words [pesticide production]. If not, that means this enterprise does not have pesticide production qualifications, and its pesticide products are not legal, so do not buy them. In this way, farmer friends can identify whether this pesticide is real or fake after seeing this information.

Method 3: Baidu search: China Pesticide Information Network, as shown in the figure below

As shown in the figure below, enter the enterprise name on the box of the pesticide product you want to query, and click [Query] to check whether it has the qualifications to produce this pesticide.

If the pesticide we are querying is found, that means it is real; if not, that means it is fake.

Method 4: Baidu search: State Administration for Industry and Commerce

Find the corresponding enterprise through the trademark and determine whether it matches the one on the packaging box.

Click to enter [Comprehensive Trademark Query], enter the trademark name on the pesticide packaging box in the "Trademark Name" input box, and you can check whether the corresponding enterprise is the same as the enterprise on the packaging box.
