Mushroom growing tips to help you get on the road to prosperity through mushroom farming
Mushrooms are a special crop, but once you have mastered the basic techniques, they become very easy to grow and highly rewarding. They can be grown in any unused spot outdoors, or in a dark corner indoors. The common brown and white cap mushrooms are the fastest growing and easiest to grow, and of course, you can also grow more exotic varieties, such as oyster mushrooms
1. Growing brown and white cap mushrooms is very simple and can be done at any time of the year, as long as there are good growing conditions. Pour the specialist compost into a dedicated tray or container, and break up all the lumps of soil.

2. Thoroughly mix and moisten the compost: carefully open the packaging bag of the mushroom spawn bricks, spread them evenly over the compost, and use your hands to gently mix them into the surface layer of the compost, without mixing them in too deeply.

3. Cover the container with a lid or wet newspaper and place the container in a spot at around 15°C, keeping it moist. Mushrooms do not need complete darkness, as long as they are not in direct sunlight; a small warehouse or storage shed is very suitable.

4. After about 14 days, a network of mycelium can be seen on the surface. Remove the newspaper, cover the mycelium with compost 2.5 cm thick, and keep it moist. The first batch of mushrooms will grow after 10 weeks.
