Fruits and vegetables with high pesticide residues: which ones are your favorites?
At the end of the year, the American Environmental Working Group punctually publishes on its official website the list of fruits and vegetables with high pesticide residues from their research over the past year, prompting people's reflection and attention.

For several consecutive years, strawberries have topped the list, becoming the food with the most pesticide residues. The organization investigated 48 common foods in daily life, and almost every one of them contained more than one type of pesticide residue; in some foods, they even found a pesticide that is strictly banned in Europe, which has strong toxic side effects that paralyze the human nervous system.
Such results are frightening in hindsight. Many countries have banned the use of pesticides, yet no good results have come about for a long time. After all, pesticides, as an effective insect-killing substance, do help fruit and vegetable yields to a certain extent. Even a tiny amount of pesticide can have a huge impact on the human nervous system and organs. This has also become an important reason why people increasingly favor organic food. Below, let us take a specific look at which foods have the most pesticide residues.
1 Strawberries

Research shows that strawberries contain more than 20 kinds of pesticide residues, and they are not easy to wash off.
2 Spinach

Spinach is the vegetable with the most pesticide residues, and it is also a vegetable extremely susceptible to agricultural contamination.
3 Nectarines

The annual sales of nectarines in the United States are enormous, and the result that they contain large amounts of pesticide residues has drawn people's attention.
4 Apples

Although apples contain fewer types of pesticide residues, the amounts are astonishing.
5 Peaches

Peaches easily attract small insects, so most of the residues in peaches are insecticides.
6 Pears
7 Cherries
Cherries contain the highest concentration of pesticide residues.
8 Grapes
Grapes contain as many as more than 60 kinds of residual chemical substances, an astonishing result.
9 Celery
10 Tomatoes
11 Bell peppers
12 Potatoes
Because they grow in the soil, they also carry many fertilizer residues.
Of course, the American environmental organization also published a set of results for the safest fruits and vegetables: corn, avocado,
pineapple, cabbage, onion, peas, papaya, asparagus, mango, eggplant.
After learning this, every time you eat them, you should clean them as thoroughly as possible, and if you have the chance, you can choose organic fruits and vegetables to reduce the impact of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on the human body as much as possible.
