The snake plant is a type of succulent that likes a warm, dry environment. The most suitable temperature is between 18-29 degrees; below 8 degrees normal growth will be affected, and above 35 degrees growth will also be affected, causing poor root growth. So how should we grow snake plants?

The first step is raising seedlings. Raising seedlings is the most important part of the snake plant cultivation process. The propagation methods currently used are mainly cuttings, and also root propagation. Today we will mainly look at cuttings. Because the snake plant's leaves are thick, fleshy and lose water quickly, direct cutting makes it very easy to become infected with bacteria, so when taking cuttings we first have to treat the snake plant's wounds. Choose thick, old snake plant leaves, cut them into 10-15 cm sections, then place them in carbendazim and soak them briefly to kill bacteria at the wounds, then take them out and place them in a cool place to dry for 15-20 hours, until the cut wounds heal.

For cuttings, plant the dried snake plant sections into the ground, burying them 3-4 cm in the soil. The soil is best loose and breathable, rich in organic matter. After planting, spray a small amount of water, just enough to make the soil moist.

After about a month, the snake plant cuttings will sprout, and after another 2-3 months or so, a new snake plant will have grown.
