Celery Cultivation Techniques and Field Management Key Points
Celery is nutritious. According to measurements, every 100 grams of the edible portion contains 0.7 grams of protein, 0.1 grams of fat, 5.0 grams of carbohydrates, 37.0 milligrams of calcium, 1.4 milligrams of iron, 45.0 milligrams of phosphorus, 1.03 milligrams of vitamin B1, 1.20 milligrams of vitamin B2, and 10.0 milligrams of vitamin C. Spring is an especially good season for celery cultivation. Using Yifuyuan planting microbial solution to cultivate celery is a method that can both improve the soil and achieve high yields.

Spring celery planting techniques:
1. Land preparation and bed making
Celery is suitable for growing in loam or clay loam that is rich in organic matter, loose, fertile, and retains water and fertilizer. Half a month before raising seedlings, the soil should be plowed and sun-bleached. Along with plowing, apply 4000-5000 kg per mu of Yifuyuan biological bacteria fermented and decomposed organic fertilizer, an appropriate amount of superphosphate and urine as base fertilizer, and also apply some special compound fertilizer for wild vegetables containing phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and trace elements (such as boron, etc.), to supplement phosphorus and calcium nutrition and prevent the occurrence of petiole cracking disease and heart rot disease. After the land is prepared, make beds. The bed width is 2 m, and the bed surface should be flat, fine, and firm.
2. Seed treatment and seedling raising
Before sowing, soak the seeds for 24 hours with Yifuyuan planting microbial solution diluted 300-500 times, keep them moist, and germinate at 18°C-20°C for 5-7 days.

3. Sowing
After germination, sowing can begin. The sowing rate is 50-100 grams of seed to plant 1 mu of field. Before sowing, water thoroughly to the bottom. Wait for the water to seep down, and when the soil can be worked, use a hoe to make furrows on the bed surface at a row spacing of 6-7 cm, evenly scatter the seeds into the furrows, and cover with fine sand at a thickness of 0.3-0.5 cm. Control it well so that each portion of seed is just enough to sow 1 seedling bed (11 sq m). Sowing is best done on cloudy days or in the afternoon to prevent sunburn damage to the sprouts.
4. Transplanting
After the previous crop is cleared, level the ground and apply 5000 kg per mu of Yifuyuan biological bacteria fermented and decomposed organic fertilizer, and transplant from early January to late January. Form ridges, with 2 rows per ridge, row spacing 35 cm. For cultivating large plants, plant spacing 30 cm, hole depth 8-10 cm, and plant 6000-7000 plants per mu; for cultivating medium-sized plants, plant spacing 25 cm, and plant 7000-8000 plants per mu. All are transplanted as single plants, and after planting, water promptly with transplanting water.
5. Management after transplanting
In the early stage after transplanting, try to raise the indoor air temperature and soil temperature. You can cover the transplanting ridges with plastic film, build small arch sheds, etc. In the middle growth stage of celery, as the weather warms and the room temperature rises, the small arch sheds should be removed in time. When the room temperature is above 25°C, ventilate to cool it down, ensuring the room temperature is 20°C-22°C during the day and about 10°C at night. In the late growth stage, to promote growth and increase yield, the daytime temperature can be controlled at 20°C-22°C.

When transplanting spring celery, Yifuyuan planting microbial solution can be used to water once with the transplanting water. Water little or not at all for the seedling recovery water. After the seedlings recover, loosen the soil once. Generally, do not water when the ridge surface is not dry. When the ridge surface becomes dry, also only water lightly, and pay attention to ventilation to reduce humidity. In early spring, it is advisable to loosen the soil more to raise the ground temperature, promote rooting of the seedlings, and make them grow robustly. When the seedlings are 15-20 cm tall and have 5-6 true leaves, celery enters the vigorous growth period, and fertilizer and water management should be strengthened. Generally every 7-10 days, apply 2-4 kg per mu of planting microbial solution together with an appropriate amount of urea, and apply it with irrigation water. Irrigate 3 times in total and topdress 2 times. One week before harvest, 1 more irrigation is also needed.
Using Yifuyuan planting microbial solution for spring celery cultivation can improve the germination rate, improve the soil, inhibit pathogens, enhance the metabolic function of celery, and increase yield and income.
