A Detailed Guide to Growing Potted Lucky Bamboo
Potted lucky bamboo is a fairly common potted plant, and it is mainly divided into two types: water culture and substrate culture. At present, water culture is the most widely used. So do you know how potted lucky bamboo should be grown?
The prerequisite for growing lucky bamboo is to choose thick, sturdy, and neat lucky bamboo, then trim several or a dozen of them to a uniform height, keeping a height difference of 3-5 cm between one layer of roots and the next. The number of layers depends on the area of the flower pot.
Next is choosing the flower pot. The flower pot should be a porcelain pot with a large mouth and a small height for easy viewing, and there must be no drainage holes at the bottom.
After choosing the flower pot, first arrange the lucky bamboo in order from tall to short, with the middle highest and the outer ones gradually lower, and so on until the outermost layer. Then align the bottoms, tie them together with string, place them on a balcony with plenty of sunlight, and pour 2-3 cm of clean water into the bottom of the flower pot.
After planting is completed, the next step is care. Change the water about once every ten days, and fertilize once every fifteen to twenty days. The amount of fertilizer should be especially small, mainly nitrogen fertilizer. Avoid damaging the roots.
