Cultivating a happy life in my own corner of the world
The woods carry the sound of rustling leaves, that is the finger of autumn. The sunlight warms the walls, and the night blows it cool. Autumn has rubbed away the old leaves, do you want to hear a new story? The quiet river opens its eyes and says with a smile: there are always people coming home, and always boats leaving the shore. --Preface
I sit in my favorite rattan chair reading a book, pen in hand, my habit is to write down my thoughts and feelings directly in the book at any time.
Sometimes I also close my eyes and listen to a song on repeat on my phone.
And sometimes I think of nothing at all, just staying there in the sunlight.
In fact, there are many fragmentary moments in life that inadvertently weave through every familiar-feeling moment, awakening your heart and eyes. In that moment a hidden fragrance stirs in your heart, the light and shadow before your eyes are enchanting, and the corners of your mouth may also inadvertently curl upward.
Now, I am sitting in that rattan chair, and countless thoughts pass through my heart, like one deep-autumn red leaf after another, each one glimmering in my heart. I catch every leaf as best I can, not wanting to let it sink into any wisp of wind.
Having loved the prosperity of spring, experienced the desolation of autumn, felt the intensity of summer, and encountered the bleakness of winter, you no longer fear the wind and rain of the four seasons.
Nor do you complain anymore about life's stinginess, wipe away the strands of regret in your eyes, step past what is too narrow and too wide between your fingers, encounter the flowing glances in page after page of past events, and let it all scatter with the wind.
In fact, life really does not have so much meaning to speak of.
If it does, I think it should be that in the long and trivial gaps, there can still be certain moments of looking back.
It is that when you walk out through a patch of everyday bustle, you can still dust yourself off, and go see the stunning beauty of a flower in full bloom, the faint smile a flock of small birds brings you as they sweep across the sky.
I am thinking, any life that has been polished by the years and then blooms against the wind will be beautiful!
