Jinzhi No. 8 is a new super-high-yield sesame variety recently developed by Chinese research experts using high-tech space breeding technology. It is disease-resistant and waterlogging-tolerant, with a high oil yield, and has great promotional value. Its main characteristics are introduced as follows: Super-high yield: Jinzhi No. 8 is an indeterminate-growing sesame variety per plant, with an average plant height of about 2 m, reaching 2.5 m in plots with good fertilizer and water conditions. Due to a series of high-tech breeding methods such as space radiation, the plants are exceptionally sturdy, with large leaves and a low capsule-bearing position. The average number of capsules per plant is about 150, with a maximum of 27

Super-high yield: Jinzhi No. The average number of capsules per plant is about 150, with a maximum of over 270. The capsules are 4-angled and do not shatter. The average yield per mu reaches 263 kg, with a maximum of 280 kg, and it has the potential to increase yield to 300-400 kg per mu.

Waterlogging-tolerant and drought-tolerant, with high oil yield: Jinzhi No. 8 has exceptionally strong lodging resistance. Its massive root system enhances water absorption, and its waterlogging tolerance and drought tolerance are significantly improved compared with ordinary varieties. Its seeds are pure white, with an average oil content as high as 58.5%, up to 60.2%, making it the preferred sesame variety for export and foreign exchange earnings. In addition, Jinzhi No. 8 is also resistant to various diseases such as Fusarium wilt, stem blight, and leaf spot. It is simple and easy to manage, making it the preferred variety for growers adjusting their planting structure.
