"Fengzhi 88" is a high-yield, stable-yield, disease-resistant new sesame variety developed by Hefei Fengle Seed Co., Ltd. through years of continuous selection from the Luozhi 12 population.

Characteristics and traits: This variety has a whole growth period of about 85 days, belonging to the early-maturing type, single-stem type, plant height over 180 cm, hard stems, upward-held leaves, three flowers per leaf axil, medium-to-large capsules, alternate and densely arranged, 1,000-grain weight of 3.2 g, tolerant to waterlogging, resistant to stem spot blight, Fusarium wilt, and leaf spot, with great yield-increasing potential, white seed coat, excellent quality, and oil content of 56.6%.

Yield performance: Participated in the 1996-1999 Henan Province preliminary trial and regional trial, with an average yield of 117 kg per mu, more than 15% higher than the control Yuzhi 4.
