Introduction to the Soybean Variety Shundou 92-51
I. Variety Origin
Bred in 1992 by Zhang Youyi of Niulanshan Town, Shunyi District, Beijing. Original code: 92-51. Parental combination: Dunzihuang x Red Soybean. Approved by Beijing in 2002.
II. Characteristics and Traits
Spring-sown soybean variety, with a whole growth period of 135 days. Seedlings grow vigorously, plant height about 70 cm, more than 4 branches, leaves are oval, sub-determinate podding habit, white flowers, brown pod husks, gray pubescence, seeds round and yellow, glossy, some seeds have a red blush, seeds are relatively large, 100-seed weight 22-23 g. Average yield in regional trials 155.8 kg per mu, average yield in production trials 170 kg per mu.
Good stress resistance, resistant to insects and mosaic virus, relatively strong lodging resistance, and fairly good adaptability.
III. Key Points of Cultivation Techniques
At sowing, use diammonium as seed fertilizer, 5-10 kg per mu. Water must not be lacking before and after flowering, otherwise plant height and branching will be affected; during the pod-filling stage, soil moisture must be sufficient, and irrigation is needed in drought so that there are more and larger seeds and quality is improved.
This variety likes fertilizer and water. In high-fertility and high-water plots, the seedlings retained per mu should be 0.8-10,000 plants; in medium-fertility plots, the seedlings retained per mu should be more than 12,000 plants.
IV. Suitable Planting Areas
Suitable for spring sowing cultivation in the Beijing area.
