1. Approval number

Su Shen Dou 200602

2. Variety source and type

Originally named "95-50", it is an early-maturing summer soybean variety for the Huainan region, developed in 2000 by the Jiangsu Yanjiang Regional Institute of Agricultural Sciences through the cross of Pudong Da Huangdou / Yancheng Gan Jiangnan.

3. Suitable range

Suitable for cultivation as summer soybean in the Huainan region of Jiangsu Province.

4. Yield level and characteristics

In 2003-2004, it participated in the Jiangsu Province Huainan summer soybean regional trial, with a two-year average yield of 148.0 kg per mu, an increase of 8.0% over the control. In 2005, it participated in the Huainan area summer soybean production trial, with an average yield of 168.1 kg per mu, an increase of 13.9% over the control. The growth period is 120 days, plant height 60.2 cm, pod-setting height 22.9 cm, main stem branches 2.1, and 100-seed weight 19.6 g.

Determinate pod-setting habit, white flowers, brown pubescence, oval leaves. At maturity, leaf drop is complete and pods do not shatter. Seeds are oval, seed coat yellow, hilum dark brown, and grain market quality is good. Field occurrence of soybean mosaic virus disease is relatively light, and lodging resistance is relatively good. Inoculation identification shows susceptibility to soybean mosaic virus disease, with a disease index of 50. Quality was determined by the Soybean Research Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University and the Food Quality Safety and Testing Research Center of the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences; the two-year average was 41.9% protein and 20.3% fat.

5. Key cultivation techniques

1. Crop rotation. Select fields where legume crops have not been planted in the previous two crops.

2. Sowing period. The suitable sowing period is June 10-30, and autumn sowing should be no later than July 16. Sowing rate is 6-8 kg per mu.

3. Cultivation density. Row spacing 40 cm, plant spacing 13 cm; for summer sowing, keep 0.8-1.2 ten thousand plants per mu; for autumn sowing, keep 1.2-1.8 ten thousand plants per mu.

4. Fertilizer and water management. Apply base fertilizer per mu of 7.5 kg pure nitrogen, 7.5 kg phosphorus pentoxide, and 7.5 kg potassium oxide; at the flowering and podding stage, apply 3 kg pure nitrogen per mu as topdressing; if drought occurs at the flowering and podding stage, irrigate promptly to resist drought.

5. Chemical regulation. For fields with medium fertility or above and for high-yield cultivation, chemical regulation should be carried out at the early flowering stage according to climate and growth conditions; generally use 20-40 g of 15% paclobutrazol per mu, diluted with 30-50 kg water, and spray evenly.

6. Control of diseases, insects, and weeds. Before sowing, use soil insecticide mixed with poisoned soil and plow it into the soil to control underground pests. After sowing and before emergence, spray herbicide promptly to control weeds, and control diseases and insect pests promptly.
