Introduction to the Characteristics of the Soybean Variety Kefeng 14
I. Variety Origin
Bred by the Institute of Genetics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998. The original code was "Yi 75-14", and the parents are: Tiefeng 18 × 7913-You 4-14. Approved by Beijing in 2001.
II. Characteristics
A summer-sown soybean variety with a growth period of 105 days. Determinate podding habit, elliptical leaf shape, white flowers, gray pubescence, brown pods. Plant height 72.5 cm, podding height 15 cm, number of nodes on the main stem 15.6, number of effective branches 2.3, number of seeds per plant 96.8, 100-seed weight 23 g. Seeds round, yellow, with brown hilum. Lodging-resistant, with good insect resistance and disease resistance. Average yield in regional trials 174.9 kg per mu.
Quality analysis: protein content 43.4%, fat content 17.61%.
III. Key Points of Cultivation Techniques
Destroy the previous crop stubble and level the land, sow with sufficient soil moisture, and for summer sowing the sowing date should not be later than June 25 to ensure uniform emergence, with a density of 13,000 plants per mu. Thin seedlings in good time, and set the seedlings at the three-trifoliolate leaf stage after emergence, remove mixed seedlings, diseased seedlings, and weak seedlings, keep strong seedlings, and the seedlings should be uniform to prevent multiple seedlings in one hole.
Strengthen field management, apply fertilizer reasonably, and water in good time, especially during the flowering and podding stage and the seed-filling stage, when water must not be lacking. At the seed-filling stage, spray 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate on the leaves to increase seed weight.
Harvest and thresh in good time, and store the seeds properly to prevent mildew, which would affect the germination rate.
IV. Suitable Planting Areas
Suitable for summer sowing cultivation in the Beijing area.
