Preparation Methods and Key Points for Using Mushroom Topdressing Solutions

To achieve high mushroom yields, appropriate topdressing must be applied. The author now introduces the preparation and use methods of several mushroom topdressing solutions as follows: 1. Chemical fertilizer solution. Use a 0.1%-0.2% urea solution or a 0.5% ammonium sulfate solution, spraying once every 2-d (days), just enough to moisten the bed surface. This has the effect of making the fruiting bodies produced in the mid-to-late stage plumper and thicker. Dissolve 0.5kg of superphosphate in 15kg of water, take the filtrate, add 50g of ammonium bicarbonate or 150ml of ammonia water to neutralize it into ammonium phosphate, then spray it on the bed surface. This can make the mushrooms plump and thick, increasing yield by 15%-20%.

1. This can make the mushrooms plump and thick, increasing yield by 15%-20%.

2. Carrot juice. Take 10kg of carrots, chop them, add 15kg of water and boil for 15min (minutes), filter to obtain the juice, dilute with 40 times the amount of water, and spray 300-400 sq m of mushroom bed. This can increase mushroom yield by 10%-15%.

3. Triacontanol solution. Spray a diluted triacontanol solution at a concentration of 0.4-1mg/kg on the mushroom bed to improve mycelial vitality; when sprayed when the fruiting bodies are the size of soybean grains, the weight increase rate reaches 7.5%, and mushrooms can be harvested 3 days earlier; moreover, the mushrooms are plump, white, firm, with few opened caps, and yield increases by 25%-30%.

4. Mushroom root soup. Wash the mushroom stems and broken mushrooms cut off during harvesting and processing, cut them into thin slices, add 1-1.5kg of water per 1kg of material, and spray 30-40 sq m of mushroom bed. Using this during the peak fruiting period can make the fruiting bodies plump and extend the peak fruiting period.

5. Plant growth nutrient solution. Spray a 1000-fold diluted solution of the plant growth promoter "Jinbang No. 1" powder (2g per 1 sq m of bed surface dissolved in 1kg of water). Spray this solution once after each fruiting water application. After spraying, the mushrooms are plump and firm, yield increases by about 30%, and the freshness retention period and harvest period can be extended.

6. Soybean milk. Take 2kg of soybeans, soak them in water until soft, grind them into a slurry, filter out the residue, add 80-100kg of clean water, and spray 80-100 sq m of mushroom bed. This can promote small mushrooms to become thick and white.

7. Disease-resistant regulatory nutritional enhancer. Use a 1000-fold diluted solution of the multifunctional disease-resistant regulatory nutritional enhancer "Lübokang", when the mushroom fruiting bodies are the size of soybean grains (250-300ml/sq m), spraying once every 5-7d (days). This can prevent the occurrence of physiological diseases and deformed mushrooms.
