Preparation Methods and Application Techniques of Mushroom Topdressing Solutions
To achieve high mushroom yields, appropriate topdressing of fertilizer is essential. Based on practical experience, several preparation and application methods for mushroom topdressing solutions are introduced below:
1. Mushroom Root Soup: Collect the mushroom stems and broken mushrooms cut off during harvesting and processing, wash them clean, cut them into thin slices, add 1 to 1.5 kg of water per kg of material, boil for 15 minutes, take the filtered liquid and dilute with water to 10 to 15 kg, and spray on 30 to 40 sq m of mushroom beds. Using this during the peak fruiting period can make the fruiting bodies plump and extend the peak fruiting period.
2. Cattle and Horse. Urine Water: Take fresh cattle or horse urine, boil until the foam disappears, dilute with 7 to 8 times its volume of clean water, and spray once every 2 to 3 days, just enough to moisten the bed surface. If there are small mushrooms on the bed surface, spray once more with clean water after application, which can promote the growth of small mushrooms.
3. Chemical Fertilizer Solution: Use a 0.1% to 0.2% urea solution or a 0.5% ammonium sulfate solution, and spray once every 2 to 3 days, just enough to moisten the bed surface. This has the effect of fattening and thickening the fruiting bodies that appear in the middle and late stages; using 0.5 kg of superphosphate, dissolving it in 15 kg of water, taking the filtered liquid, adding 50 g of ammonium bicarbonate or 150 ml of ammonia water and ammonium phosphate, then spraying on the bed surface can make the mushroom bodies plump and increase yield by 15% to 20%.
4. Soybean Milk Juice: Take 2 kg of soybeans, soak them in water until soft, then grind into a slurry, filter out the residue, add 80 to 100 kg of clean water, and spray on 80 to 100 sq m of mushroom beds. This can promote the growth of small mushrooms, making them thick and white.
5. Carrot Juice: Take 10 kg of carrots, chop them, add 15 kg of water, boil for 15 minutes, filter to obtain the juice, dilute with 40 times its volume of water, and spray on 300 to 400 sq m of mushroom beds. This can increase mushroom yield by 10% to 15%.
6. Triacontanol Solution: Spray a diluted triacontanol solution at (0.4 to 1) x 10 concentration on the mushroom beds to enhance mycelial vitality; when the fruiting bodies reach the size of soybeans, spray it to achieve a 7.5% increase in fruiting body weight, harvest 3 days earlier, and produce plump, white, firm mushrooms with fewer opened caps, increasing yield by 25% to 30%.
7. Disease-Resistant Regulatory Nutrient Enhancer: Use a 1000-fold dilution of the multifunctional disease-resistant regulatory nutrient enhancer "Lübokang," and spray when the mushroom fruiting bodies reach the size of soybeans (250 to 300 ml per sq m), once every 5 to 7 days. This can prevent the occurrence of physiological diseases and deformed mushrooms.
8. Plant Vitality Nutrient Solution: Use the plant vitality agent "Jinbang No. 1" powder diluted 1000-fold (2 g per sq m of bed surface, mixed with 1 kg of water) for spraying. Spray this solution once after each application of fruiting water. After spraying, the mushrooms will be plump and firm, with a yield increase of about 30%, and it can also extend the fresh-keeping period and harvest period.
