I. Biological Characteristics "Jindou No. 34" soybean, when spring-sown in central Shanxi Province, has a growth period of 133-135 days from emergence to maturity, and in normal years it matures around September 25. When summer-sown in the central Huang-Huai-Hai region, the whole growth period is 112 days. When spring-sown in Jinzhong, the plant height is about 80 cm, with generally 2-3 branches, reaching 3-5 in years with sufficient rainfall, 17-19 nodes on the main stem, a compact plant type, and tough, thick stems with strong lodging resistance. Each plant bears 50-75 pods and 105-150 seeds. The leaves are elliptical, with the upper leaves

I. Biological Characteristics

"Jindou No. The leaves are elliptical, with the upper leaves relatively small, giving the plant good light penetration. The flowers are purple, the pubescence brown, with an indeterminate podding habit. The seed coat is yellow, the seeds round, the hilum light brown, and the 100-seed weight is 18.5-20.5 grams.

II. Key Cultivation Techniques

(1) Improve sowing quality to ensure full stands and strong seedlings. Prepare the soil finely before sowing, water sufficiently to build up subsoil moisture, and apply 1000 kg of organic fertilizer and 50 kg of phosphate fertilizer per mu.

(2) Sow within a short window. In central Shanxi, sow from late April to early May, generally no later than May 15.

(3) Plant at a reasonable density. For spring sowing in central Shanxi, the suitable planting density is 8000-10000 plants per mu, with a sowing rate of 5-6 kg; for summer sowing in southern areas, it is 12000-15000 plants per mu, with a sowing rate of 6.7-8 kg.

(4) Field management. Thin and fix the seedlings in time, cultivate and weed in time, and at the beginning of flowering, apply 7-10 kg of nitrogen fertilizer per mu along with watering; in early to mid-August, control pod borers in time, and harvest promptly after maturity.
