Introduction to the soybean variety Heihe 36 (formerly known as Heifu 99-170)
Characteristics: White flowers, long leaves, convergent plant type, semi-determinate podding habit. Average growth period 116 days, plant height 59.1 cm, number of effective pods per plant 25.1, 100-seed weight 20.5 g. Leaves drop at maturity, slight pod shattering. Yellow seed coat, yellow hilum, round seeds. Inoculation identification by the Soybean Research Center of the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences showed resistance to soybean frogeye leaf spot. Average crude protein content 39.80%, crude fat content 19.28%.
Yield performance: In 2002, entered the northern spring soybean early-maturing group variety regional trial, with an average yield of 199.1 kg per mu, 6.6% higher than the control Heihe 18 (significant); in 2003, continued the trial, with an average yield of 150.0 kg per mu, 8.9% higher than the control Heihe 18 (highly significant); the two-year regional trial average yield was 174.6 kg per mu, 7.6% higher than the control Heihe 18. In 2003, entered the northern spring soybean early-maturing group variety production trial, with an average yield of 181.1 kg per mu, 13.2% higher than the control Heihe 18.
Key cultivation techniques: 1. Sow from late April to early May. 2. For conventional wide-row (60-70 cm) cultivation, keep 300,000 plants per hectare; for narrow-row dense planting, keep 350,000-400,000 plants. 3. Treat seeds with seed coating agent. 4. Generally apply 150-200 kg of diammonium phosphate per hectare, plus 20-30 kg of urea and 30-40 kg of potassium fertilizer, applied deep or in layers.
Approval opinion: Upon review, this variety meets the national soybean variety approval standards and has passed approval. This variety is a high-yielding early-maturing variety of northern spring soybean, suitable for planting in northern Heilongjiang, eastern Jilin, Hulunbuir in Inner Mongolia, and the ** Altay early-maturing region.
