How to manage mushrooms at present to achieve high yields
1. Disease treatment and pest control. For mushroom houses where no disease has yet been found, first brush the surrounding walls with 15% lime water (slurry); for the bed surface, 1% clarified lime solution or 0.5-1% ammonia water solution can be sprayed along with watering adjustment; for mushroom houses that have previously been infected with weed molds, spray 1-2 times with 500-fold carbendazim or Bordeaux mixture before inoculation. Before feeding, clean the inside and outside of the mushroom house thoroughly, then spray once with 1% concentration of dichlorvos or dimethoate; after feeding, when adjusting water on the bed surface, spray 1-2 times with 0.5% dichlorvos, or dip cotton balls in 2% dichlorvos and hang them on the doors, windows or bed surface of the mushroom house (insert one every 1 m or so), which can effectively prevent and control insect pests and various weed mold infections.
2. Pay attention to ventilation. When temperatures rise in late spring and early summer, ventilation and cooling should be carried out in the morning and evening or at night when it is cool.
3. Strengthen water and fertilizer management. When temperatures rise in May, seize the opportunity to spray water in the morning and evening or at night, and only stop watering and ventilate after the material layer is fully watered and shiny. When temperatures rise, for topdressing, it is advisable to spray plant ash extract, ammonia water, urea, mushroom stem soup, etc., and their concentration should decrease as the temperature rises.
