Practical method for cultivating oyster mushrooms in waste cardboard boxes

Mushroom Cultivation 0 views
At a time when the prices of raw materials such as wheat bran and corn cobs are continuously rising, using abundant and low-priced waste cardboard boxes to cultivate oyster mushrooms can yield 0.8 to 1.4 tons of oyster mushrooms per ton of waste cardboard boxes. The specific cultivation technique is as follows: 1. Raw material ratio: waste cardboard boxes 90%, wheat bran 6%, quicklime 1%, plant ash 3%. 2. Raw material processing: after dismantling the waste cardboard boxes, expose them to the blazing sun for 2 to 3 days, and process them into pieces of 8 to 10 cm2. 3. Disinfection and sterilization: put the processed waste cardboard box pieces into a mixing tank

The specific cultivation technique is as follows:

3. Disinfection and sterilization: put the processed waste cardboard box pieces into a mixing tank, sprinkle wheat bran, plant ash and quicklime on the surface, then pour in boiling water at 95°C to 100°C, stir thoroughly and evenly, then take it out and drain the water so that the moisture content drops to about 60% (when the material is pinched by hand, water droplets are visible between the fingers).

4. Mixing in the spawn: first put the cultivation material into a disinfected mixing tank, then mix in the cultivation spawn crushed to the size of cottonseed hulls, with a spawn dosage of 10% being appropriate. After mixing evenly, put it into special plastic cultivation bags. To prevent contamination by miscellaneous bacteria, 0.1% carbendazim fungicide pesticide can be added while mixing the spawn.

5. Cultivation management: stack the inoculated cultivation material bags indoors at a temperature of 18 to 30°C, generally 4 to 5 layers is appropriate. After 15 to 20 days, if the mycelium in the bags has fully grown, open one end or both ends of the plastic bags, pay attention to light, strengthen air circulation, and spray water 1 to 2 times a day to keep the bag temperature at 15 to 20°C. After about 7 to 8 days, oyster mushrooms begin to grow, and thereafter a batch can be harvested about every 10 days. After each batch is harvested, use a syringe to inject 50 ml of 0.2% white sugar solution and 50 ml of 0.1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution into each plastic bag. With this method, generally 1 to 2 more batches of mushrooms can be harvested, and the yield increases by 15% to 20%.
