Detailed Guide to Controlling Common Diseases of Oyster Mushrooms
On cloudy days, with insufficient light, high relative humidity inside the mushroom shed, and poor ventilation, oyster mushrooms are extremely prone to two concurrent diseases: soft rot and bacterial spot disease.
So how can these concurrent diseases be prevented and controlled? Based on our practical experience, we hereby introduce the following integrated control methods to mushroom growers.
1. Select and breed disease-resistant varieties and cultivate vigorous mycelium to improve the disease resistance of oyster mushrooms. For example: Hebei Wubaozi, Jiangsu Yefeng, etc., whose mycelium grows snow-white, whose fruiting bodies have strong disease resistance, and whose yields are high.
2. Increase ventilation to purify the air environment.
3. Use the ditch water replenishment method to maintain the relative humidity inside the mushroom shed at 65%.
4. Disinfect the mushroom shed. Sprinkling Baiyou powder on the shed walls and shed floor is both economical and effective for disinfection and sterilization, so you might as well give it a try.
5. Medication formulas: (1) Agricultural streptomycin 2.5 million units, 50% prochloraz 10 grams, Lufeng 95 50 milliliters, water 14 kilograms. (2) Agricultural streptomycin 2.5 million units, Lufeng 95 50 milliliters, Lufenwei No. 1 17 grams, water 14 kilograms.
Streptomycin is a broad-spectrum fungicide that can kill many kinds of bacteria, and prochloraz has a good inhibitory and killing effect on fungi. Used together, the two medicines complement each other's functions and improve the effect of inhibiting and killing contaminating microorganisms. Lufeng 95 regulates metabolism and promotes growth, and Lufenwei No. 1 is a nutritional supplement. When these medicines are combined according to the above formulas, they not only enhance the resistance of oyster mushrooms but also kill parasitic bacteria and fungi, achieving the effect of curing the disease once the medicine is applied.
Method: Choose either of the above formulas to prepare a mixed medicinal solution, and spray the fruiting bodies and the mushroom surface once a day, with the amount adjusted so that the medicinal solution does not drip from the fruiting bodies. Generally, results are seen after two treatments and full recovery occurs after three treatments. During the spraying period, do not spray water on the fruiting bodies.
