Tea seed cake contains tea saponin with hemolytic action, 11%-16% crude protein, 5%-7% fat, 40% digestible sugar, 11% nitrogen, 0.37% phosphoric acid, 1.23% potassium, and various amino acids essential for animals and other nutrients, and it has a wide range of applications in aquaculture. ① Pond treatment and water fertilization. Tea seed cake is the preferred pond-clearing agent for ponds with mixed culture of fish, shrimp and crabs. The pond treatment method is: in a pond with a water depth of 30-50cm, use 25kg/hm3 of crushed tea seed cake; for a pond with a water depth of 1m, it can be increased to 50k

① Pond treatment and water fertilization. Tea seed cake is the preferred pond-clearing agent for ponds with mixed culture of fish, shrimp and crabs. The pond treatment method is: in a pond with a water depth of 30-50cm, use 25kg/hm3 of crushed tea seed cake; for a pond with a water depth of 1m, it can be increased to 50kg/hm3. Soak the tea seed cake in cold water for 2-3 days until it becomes a slurry, then evenly splash it over the whole pond. After 3h, it will have a toxic effect on fish. After 10-15 days, the toxicity disappears, and fry can be test-released.

② Preventing and treating fish diseases. This is done 1 month after the fry and fingerlings are introduced into the pond. Every 10 days, take 1 piece of fresh tea seed cake, divide it into 5 small pieces, and tread them into the four corners and the center of the pond. This can effectively prevent fish diseases, and is especially effective against grass carp diseases.

③ Treating water quality and preventing and treating shrimp and crab diseases. For filamentous bacterial disease of shrimp and crabs, splash the whole pond with 12g/m2 tea seed cake infusion; for sessile ciliate disease of shrimp and crabs, splash with 10-15g/m2 tea seed cake infusion, and after 24h carry out a large water exchange to promote molting (shell shedding); for the "shaking disease" of river crabs, use 15g/m2 tea seed cake infusion, and at the same time splash quicklime water and feed with ribavirin mixed into bait for treatment.

④ As fish bait, that is, feeding fish with detoxified tea seed cake. Detoxification can use the soil pit fermentation method, generally requiring 12 days of fermentation at above 30°C. After the tea seed cake has fermented to a brown color and has bubbles and a fragrant smell, take a small amount of detoxified tea seed cake and test-feed a few small fish. If the fish are still swimming freely after 12h, it indicates that it is ready for feeding to fish.
