Edible fungus cultivation boosts forest land economy
To further boost agricultural efficiency and increase farmers' incomes, Jinghai County has vigorously developed a ten-thousand-mu forest land economy, actively promoting and implementing forest land breeding and forest land edible fungus cultivation projects, and effectively raising the level of agricultural development. Since the end of 2007, Nanzhuotou Village in Wangkou Town of the county has raised more than 500,000 yuan to plan and build a fungus stick factory. At present, the factory produces more than 10,000 fungus sticks per day, and 70,000 fungus sticks have completed steam high-temperature sterilization, inoculation and other work. More than 50 farming households in the village are already engaged in forest land edible fungus production, with an area of 200 mu.
