What are the traditional fertilization methods for increasing the yield of edible fungi?
When edible fungi reach the middle and late stages of fruiting, a large amount of nutrients has basically been consumed. In order to strengthen the aftergrowth of fruiting, appropriate topdressing fertilizer must be applied, which can increase the yield. Mushroom growers are advised to adopt the following measures, which will have a very good yield-increasing effect.
1. Apply mushroom soup: Collect and wash the mushroom stems and broken mushrooms cut off during harvest and processing, cut them into thin slices, add 1—1.5 kg of water per kg of material, boil for 15 minutes, take the filtered juice and add 10—15 kg of water, and spray it on mushroom trays or fungus bags. Using it at the peak of fruiting can make the fruiting bodies thick and prolong the peak fruiting period.
2. Soymilk fertilizer: Take 1 kg of soybeans, soak them in water, grind them into soymilk, filter out impurities, add 50 kg of cooled boiled water, stir evenly, and spray. This can make mushrooms white and sturdy.
3. Salt water fertilizer: Take 0.5 kg of table salt, add 50 kg of cooled boiled water, and spray during the peak fruiting period to make the mushroom bodies white.
4. Apply cow dung and urine: Take fresh cow dung and urine, boil until the foam disappears, dilute with 7—8 times cooled boiled water, and spray once every 2—3 days. It is appropriate to spray the trays and bags moist. If there are young mushrooms, spray once with clean water after application, which can promote the growth of young mushrooms.
5. Chicken manure fertilizer: Add 20 kg of water to 5 kg of chicken manure, boil, take the juice, then add 100 kg of water for spraying, which can increase mushroom yield.
6. Plant ash extract: Soak 12.5 kg of plant ash in 25 kg of water, then filter and spray, which can prevent edible fungi from turning red.
7. Spray chemical fertilizer solution: Use 0.1%—0.2% urea solution and spray once every 2—3 days; spray 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution, which can make the mushroom bodies thick and increase yield by 15—20%.
8. Rice washing liquid: Take 100 kg of rice washing liquid, clarify it, take the clear liquid on top, add 1 kg of glucose, and begin spraying 3—4 days after mushroom harvest, which can significantly increase yield.
9. Pine needle fertilizer: Take 1 kg of fresh pine needles, add water and boil for 20 minutes, filter out the residue, add 15 kg of water, and spray. This can make the mushroom bodies plump.
10. Carrot juice: Chop 10 kg of carrots, add 15 kg of water, boil for 15 minutes, filter and take the juice, add 40 times water, and spray. This can increase mushroom yield by 10—15%.
