2. Source and Type

Originally named "Jing D180", it is a first-generation hybrid of medium-maturity upland cotton, developed in 2000 by the Cotton Research Institute of Hubei Jingchu Seed Industry Co., Ltd. using the combination 204 x M31.

3. Adaptation Scope

Suitable for planting in light Fusarium and Verticillium wilt areas of Jiangsu Province (excluding the Xuzhou region).

4. Yield Level and Characteristics

Participated in the Jiangsu Provincial Regional Trial in 2002 and 2004. The two-year average seed cotton yield was 274.8 kg per mu, an average increase of 15.7% over the control (the control in 2002 was Simian No. 3, and the control in 2004 was Sumian No. 9); the lint yield was 108.8 kg per mu, an average increase of 7.3% over the control. In the 2005 provincial production trial, the seed cotton yield was 196.2 kg per mu, an increase of 10.1% over the control Sumian No. 9, and the lint yield was 79.7 kg per mu, an increase of 6.6% over the control.

Emergence was good, with steady growth. The plant is tower-shaped and relatively tall, the stem has fine hairs, the leaves are thick and medium to slightly large with a relatively dark color, the bolls are oval and relatively large, and boll opening is smooth. The average results of the provincial regional trial: growth period 142 days, plant height 113.78 cm, 17.42 fruiting branches, 27.85 bolls per plant, single boll seed cotton weight 5.99 g, large-sample lint percentage 39.57%, small-sample lint percentage 40.37%, seed index 10.16 g, and pre-frost boll rate 86.33%. Fiber quality was tested by the Cotton Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (HVICC standard): fiber length 32.08 mm, uniformity 84.49%, specific strength 30.44 cN/tex, micronaire value 4.34, and spinning consistency index 150. Disease nursery identification results: Fusarium wilt index 14.86, Verticillium wilt index 23.24. Tolerant to Fusarium wilt, tolerant to Verticillium wilt, and highly resistant to cotton bollworm.
