IV. Yield level and characteristics

From 2002-2003, it participated in the Jiangsu Provincial Regional Trial. The two-year average seed cotton yield was 248.1 kg per mu, an increase of 29.0% compared with the control Simian 3; the lint yield was 97.0 kg per mu, an increase of 14.3% compared with the control. In the 2004 provincial production trial, the average seed cotton yield was 286.4 kg per mu, an increase of 19.4% compared with the control Sumian 9; the lint yield was 104.5 kg per mu, an increase of 7.8% compared with the control.

Emergence is average, and growth vigor is relatively strong; the plant is relatively tall, with an open plant type, thick stems, relatively few hairs, relatively large leaves, and relatively dark leaf color; the bolls are ovate and relatively large, and boll opening is smooth. Average results of the provincial regional trial: growth period 138 days, plant height 108.68 cm, 16.20 fruiting branches, 18.09 bolls per plant, single boll seed cotton weight 5.76 g, large-sample lint percentage 39.22%, small-sample lint percentage 39.55%, seed index 12.20 g, pre-frost boll rate 81.92%. Fiber quality was tested by the Cotton Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (HVICC standard): fiber length 30.39 mm, uniformity 84.55%, specific strength 30.64 cN/tex, micronaire value 5.24, spinning consistency index 138. Average results of disease nursery identification: Fusarium wilt index 12.79, Verticillium wilt index 30.51. Tolerant to Fusarium wilt, tolerant to Verticillium wilt, close to high resistance to cotton bollworm.
