How to cultivate Pleurotus citrinopileatus for high yield? Detailed explanation of key technical points
Pleurotus citrinopileatus is a wild species domesticated in recent years, and has not yet formed large-scale production, with only occasional small amounts appearing on the market.
Basic formula for substrate preparation: 250 kg cottonseed hulls, 5 kg superphosphate, 4 kg gypsum powder, 1 kg urea, 1 bag of edible mushroom three-dimensional nutrient essence (mixing bag). Key points to note: when mixing ingredients, according to your own technical level, increase the moisture content of the substrate as much as possible; after spawning, keep the mushroom shed temperature at 20°C~25°C.
For mushroom shed treatment, continuously spray 2 rounds of Baibingquwuzong, with a 2-day interval, using one bag per 20 sq m, and carry out carpet-style spraying to kill contaminant bacteria and pathogenic fungi. During high-temperature periods, insecticides can be applied as well. Key points to note: after spraying, seal the mushroom shed, remove coverings such as straw mats, and by sunning the shed, allow the chemicals to exert their maximum efficacy under high temperature.
Bag filling and spawning are generally done in August. During this period, the temperature is relatively high. If your cultivation technical level is relatively high and the mushroom shed conditions are good, raw material cultivation can be adopted, with the same formula as above; if you do not feel confident, fermented material cultivation can be adopted. Add 3~5 kg lime powder to the above formula, and after fermentation is completed, mix the edible mushroom three-dimensional nutrient essence with water and spray it evenly, stir well, and then fill bags and spawn.
Spawning management can follow the management for oyster mushroom spawning. After spawning is completed, continue with post-ripening spawn running. In low-temperature seasons, when the temperature is relatively high, measures such as cooling and ventilation should be taken, and strict light avoidance should be observed, receiving as little external stimulation as possible, so that the mycelium continues vegetative growth. Generally after about 15 days, the biological energy in the mushroom bags can reach its maximum accumulation, laying a good foundation for fruiting. According to conditions such as the mushroom shed and cultivation environment, spray Baibingquwuzong 800~1000 times dilution once every 3~7 days. Spray toward walls, floors, ventilation openings, etc., and try not to spray directly on the mushroom bags.
For fruiting management, autumn temperatures are generally relatively high, which can meet the temperature requirements of the fruiting bodies, so no manual regulation is needed. The relative air humidity should be maintained at 85%~95%. Good ventilation should be maintained to reduce the carbon dioxide concentration in the mushroom shed to 0.05%. Take measures such as uncovering straw mats or turning on lights to keep the light intensity in the mushroom shed at about 500 lux.
