Tea seed cake can be used as a pond-clearing agent
Pond clearing and disinfection generally use quicklime or bleaching powder, but if the pond is used for @#@234@#, using tea seed cake to clear the pond has effects that other agents cannot replace, with better results.
Tea seed cake, also called tea seed meal, is a purplish-brown granular residue left after oil is pressed from the fruit of plants in the Theaceae family. Tea seed cake contains saponin, also called saponin glycoside, which is a hemolytic toxin that can dissolve the red blood cells of fish, so it can kill various wild and trash fish such as @#@237@#, as well as snails, river mussels, frog eggs, tadpoles and some aquatic insects. Saponin is easily soluble in alkaline water; adding a small amount of limewater when using it makes the effect better. Because tea seed cake has a relatively high protein content, it is also an efficient cake fertilizer, and can increase fertility in ponds with little silt and poor bottom soil.
Using tea seed cake as a pond-clearing agent has more unique effects than other agents. First, tea seed cake is a green agent with no toxic residue, has no effect on the human body, and is safe to use. Second, it does not kill aquatic plants and has a growth-promoting effect on them. Third, it has no side effects on shrimp and crab larvae and can promote molting in shrimp and crabs. Fourth, it has the effect of increasing fertilizer efficiency; used in ponds for breeding shrimp fry and rearing juvenile crabs, it can significantly increase the survival and harvest rate of shrimp fry and juvenile crabs. Method of use and dosage of tea seed cake: use it for pond clearing with water present, applying 30-35 kg per mu at a water depth of one meter. To improve the effect, add 1.5 kg of table salt and 1.5 kg of quicklime for every 50 kg of tea seed cake. Before use, tea seed cake must be soaked for 24 hours before it can be splashed over the whole pond.
