How to Make Tea Seed Oil and Detailed Steps
Production Method 1. Sun-dry the harvested tea seeds, or dry them slowly over a low fire. Once the shells fall off, take the round or flat-round tea seeds and grind them with a stone mill. Because tea seed powder has low stickiness, note that the finer it is ground, the better. String 8
2. Steam thoroughly in a steamer over water. Take the hot ground grains (steamed cake material) and quickly press them into cakes while hot. If they get cold, the cakes cannot be formed, the oil yield is reduced, or even no oil comes out.
3. Put the cakes into a wooden press and press them. During pressing, strike hard and press quickly, and do not release the press midway.
4. Refining: the pressed oil is refined to remove impurities. Mix 20% dilute sulfuric acid with the oil and let it stand at 45°C for one day and one night, so that the brown impurities settle out. Alternatively, for every 100 kg of oil, use 2 kg of acidic alum earth powder, mix well, and let it stand for one day and one night; this can also separate out the impurities and make the oil clear in color.
Product Characteristics The oil liquid is transparent and yellowish-brown. String 3
