(1) Yingshuang is a national-level improved cultivar, a small tree type, medium-leaf clonal improved cultivar bred and completed by the Hangzhou Tea Research Institute. Its main characteristics are early development, with the picking period for famous tea around March 20, medium bud density, strong white bud ability, and a long growth period; tea can still be picked during the Frost's Descent season, with strong tenderness retention, slightly weak stress resistance, and high yield. It is especially suitable for making famous and high-quality tea, such as Longjing tea; the green tea made from it has high aroma and a strong, fresh taste.

Yield is high, and green tea quality has high aroma and a refreshing taste. (4) Juhuachun is a national-level improved cultivar, a shrub type, medium-leaf type variety bred by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Tea Research Institute. It sprouts early, with the picking time for famous tea on March 10; leaf color is yellow-green, tenderness retention is strong, bud cultivation ability is strong, yield is high, drought and cold resistance are strong, and disease resistance is slightly poorer. (5) Longjing 43 is a national-level improved cultivar, a shrub type, medium-leaf type clonal variety. It sprouts early, and the picking time is the same as Yingshuang; bud cultivation ability is especially strong, buds and leaves are short and plump, pubescence is few, cutting survival rate is high, cold resistance is strong, drought resistance is slightly weak, tenderness retention is poor, and it is especially suitable for making flat-shaped Longjing tea. (6) Wuniuzao is a shrub type, medium-leaf type variety bred by farmers in Yongjia County. It sprouts especially early, with the picking period for famous tea in early March; bud density is high, rounds are obvious, bud cultivation ability is strong, buds and leaves are plump, stress resistance is relatively strong, and yield is still high. (7) Longjing Changshi is a shrub type, medium-leaf type variety. It sprouts early, with the time the same as Yingshuang; bud density is high, bud cultivation ability is strong, tenderness retention is strong, pubescence is relatively few, resistance is stronger than Longjing 43, yield is relatively high, and the taste is tender and refreshing. (8) Zhenong 139 is a medium-leaf type variety bred by Zhejiang Agricultural University. It sprouts earlier than Yingshuang, with picking in early March; leaf color is emerald green, yield is high, tenderness retention is good, cold and disease resistance are strong, and insect resistance is slightly poorer than Fuding Dabaicha. The green tea made from it has especially high aroma quality. (9) Zhenong 117 is a medium-leaf type clonal improved cultivar. Its sprouting time is early, with the picking time for famous tea in early March. Leaf color is yellow-green, bud cultivation ability is strong, resistance is strong, especially outstanding cold resistance, and yield is high. The green tea made from it has a high and lasting aroma, and a strong, fresh, and refreshing taste.
