New Formula for Fast-Growing, High-Yield Cultivation of Tea Tree Mushroom
Tea tree mushroom, also known as Agrocybe aegerita, is a rare and delicious health food that sells well in the market, with the current fresh mushroom price reaching 20 yuan/kg. At present, the yield of artificially cultivated tea tree mushroom is low, mainly constrained by the spawn and cultivation substrate formula. Several relatively ideal new cultivation substrate formulas are introduced as follows:
1. Tea seed shell powder 70%, rice bran 20%, tea seed cake meal 5%, sucrose 2%, lime 1%, gypsum 1%, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 1%. Take the dry materials according to the formula proportions, with a material-to-water ratio of 1:1.25, mix thoroughly, pile up and pat firmly, let sit overnight, bag into dry material bags, compact evenly, sterilize at 121°C for 2 hours, and inoculate at both ends after cooling. After inoculation, place the cultivation substrate under conditions of 22-26°C and 60%-70% relative air humidity for mycelial growth. During the fruiting period, increase the relative air humidity to 90% and manage according to conventional methods. Its yield is higher than that of cottonseed hull substrate, with a yield increase of 47.4%. The tea tree mushroom cultivated from tea seed shells and tea seed cake has a more delicious taste and a richer aroma. This formula is suitable for promotion in tea-producing areas of Shandong Province.
2. Dried rice straw powder 15%, wheat bran 15%, cottonseed hull 59%, cornmeal 7.4%, lime 3%, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.3%, magnesium sulfate 0.3%. Weigh the raw materials separately according to the formula proportions, mix evenly, and stir while adding water so that the moisture content of the substrate reaches 60%-65%. Then load the substrate into polypropylene plastic bags measuring 15 cm × 30 cm, put on collar rings, and plug with cotton stoppers. Sterilize at 100°C under normal pressure for 12-14 hours, and inoculate after cooling.
3. Sawdust 36%, cottonseed hull 36%, wheat bran 20%, cornmeal 5%, tea seed cake 1%, lime 1%, sugar 1%. The substrate is required to be fresh and free of mold. When crushing the sawdust, add 20%-30% bark to increase the nitrogen content of the sawdust. The sawdust particle size should be moderate, with sieved particles smaller than 0.4 mm. The material-to-water ratio is preferably 1:1.2-1.25. Use polypropylene plastic bags measuring 17 cm × 33 cm × 0.0085 cm, double-layered, then fill with substrate. Bagging should be completed within 4 hours. Inoculate at a temperature below 100°C, and place the spawn bags in the cultivation room for culturing. When cultivating tea tree mushroom with this formula, generally 3-5 flushes of mushrooms can be harvested, with 0.2-0.25 kg of fresh mushrooms harvested per bag, and a biological conversion rate of 70%-80%.
