Cucumber curvature affects cucumber appearance; how to prevent and control cucumber curvature

Because the cucumber stems and leaves grow too vigorously, the cucumber's nutrients are all concentrated in the stems and leaves, leaving insufficient nutrition for the fruit to grow, or the egg cells at the edge of the cucumber ovary are fertilized, causing unbalanced development of the cucumber, which results in curved cucumbers.
Prevention and control methods:

Curved cucumber

    1. Strengthen field management.According to the growth and development status of the cucumber plants, fertilize and water evenly, control the appropriate temperature, improve pollination conditions during the cucumber flowering period, coordinate the relationship between vegetative growth and reproductive growth, prevent and control pests and diseases in a timely manner, and maintain the growth vigor of the cucumber plants.

    2. Control the yield per plant. The yield per cucumber plant should not be too high, as too high a yield will increase the burden on the cucumber plant. If too many cucumbers set in the early stage or are not picked in time, the leaves age quickly, and curved cucumbers are likely to form. To prevent curved cucumbers, pointed cucumbers, and big-bellied cucumbers, you can spray the cucumber leaves with Shuofeng 481 or compound microbial fertilizer at 200 times dilution, spraying once every 7-9 days, for 2-3 consecutive sprays, with quite good control effect.

    3. Remove tendrils and remove curved cucumbers.Remove tendrils to prevent cucumber curvature caused by physical obstacles such as tendrils. Generally, cucumber curvature is caused by factors such as the influence of chemicals, long-term excessively high or low temperatures, and weak plants. Once it occurs, it is very difficult to grow straight again. Therefore, on the premise of not affecting cucumber yield and economic benefit, remove curved cucumbers as early as possible before and after the female flowers fade, so that nutrients are concentrated and supplied to the cucumbers to promote their normal growth.
