During the critical growth period of lettuce, key points for disease control in autumn and winter lettuce

    Recently, the field lettuce planting area has continued to increase; since most of the current field lettuce is at the seedling to mature plant stage, good field fertilizer and water management can reduce the occurrence of lettuce diseases and pests to a certain extent. Therefore, it is recommended to start with the following technical measures:

Lettuce management

     1. Strictly control the seed quality in lettuce seedling raising. The seedbed soil must be selected from soil that has not been planted with lettuce and disinfected before seedling raising. Reasonable close planting during transplanting to increase plant ventilation;

     2. Field irrigation must not flood the soil, and drainage should be timely to avoid the spread of sclerotinia rot; for those in the early stage of sclerotinia rot, chemical control should be carried out in time, and procymidone, iprodione, vinclozolin, etc. can be selected; add zhongshengmycin or copper bis(dihydrogen phosphate) for foliar spraying.

    3. After lettuce enters the growth stage, manual weeding in the field is prohibited to avoid damaging the plants and causing disease spread; after diseased plants are found, remove them in time and disinfect the diseased spots with carbendazim. The diseased plants taken out of the field and the residual leaves after harvest must be harmlessly treated. When thrown into the abandoned vegetable leaf treatment pool, the treatment pool must be disinfected with chemicals to reduce field sources of inoculum;

    4. After transplanting and survival, apply seedling-promoting fertilizer, and then promptly use ethylicin for spray and root irrigation, applying 2 to 3 consecutive treatments to prevent root bacterial diseases; from the mature plant stage of lettuce, use moroxydine copper, etc. to control viral diseases.
