Detailed Explanation of the Key Points of New Cultivation and Management Techniques for Bailing Mushroom
Bailing mushroom, due to its unique edible and medicinal value, has seen its substrate input in northern China increase year by year in recent years, and a prosperous situation in both production and sales has emerged, making it one of the preferred mushroom types for the vast number of beginner mushroom growers to develop edible fungus production. Poor mushroom shape, etc. In this regard, here we combine the introduction of production technology key points to give...
Bailing mushroom is a white variety of Ferula mushroom, an edible fungus with strong adaptability, a short production cycle, and easy cultivation. Its new management techniques are introduced as follows:1. Cultivation season
Bailing mushroom is a medium-temperature type fungus. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth is 24--27°C, and the optimum temperature for fruiting body growth is 15--20°C. Therefore, the cultivation season should be arranged with inoculation in early September, entering the mushroom-growing period in mid-October; in spring, inoculation should preferably be in early February, with fruiting ending in mid-May.
2. Management during the fruiting period
After inoculation, the mycelium-growing temperature is 25--28°C, the indoor relative air humidity is about 70%, and ventilation should be frequent. Prevent strong light exposure. After 25--30 days of cultivation and management, when primordia appear on the surface of the bag material or beside the bag and physiological maturity is reached, move them into the fruiting shed for fruiting management. Remove the collar ring and cotton plug, open the bag mouth, control the temperature at 10--20°C, and cultivate for about 7 days, when primordia appear and differentiate into young buds. When the mushroom stem grows to 2 cm, increase the amount of water spraying and strengthen ventilation. The relative air humidity should be maintained at 80% in the early stage and 85%--90% in the later stage, and strong light exposure should be prevented.
3. Causes of uneven fruiting and ways to overcome them
The main reason for uneven fruiting of Bailing mushroom is that during mycelium growth after inoculation, some mycelia had not yet reached physiological maturity when they were moved into the fruiting shed for fruiting management.
The way to overcome this is: during the mycelium growth period, maintain the temperature at 25--28°C; after about 25--30 days the mycelia fill the bag, then cultivate for 30--40 days in an environment with a temperature of 22--25°C and a relative air humidity of 70%--75%. Then, at a relative air humidity of 80%--85%, use scattered light to induce fruiting, with a daytime temperature of 13--15°C and a nighttime temperature of 8°C. After 10--15 days, white mushroom buds will appear.
4. Harvesting
When the fruiting body grows to 8--12 cm, it can be harvested. After harvesting, stop spraying water, clean up the remnants at the bag mouth and around it. Let the mycelia rest. After 1 week, spray water, and induce buds at constant temperature for about 15 days to produce the second flush of mushrooms.
