This Tianguangxu flower market, with a history of several hundred years, was abandoned during the "Cultural Revolution." In 1991, the Fangcun Tianguangxu flower market naturally formed again on the west side of the Pearl River Bridge, with merchants gathering and growing increasingly prosperous.

The market has attracted flower merchants from Beijing, Shanghai, Fujian, Yunnan and other provinces and cities, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong and other regions, to trade in the market. Taiwan Chengmei Company, Qianhui Company, Dahan Company and Fubao Company, as well as Hong Kong's Binfen Garden Flower and Tree Company, have all successively entered the market.
