Flower Planting Technology Training Course Held in Shunde District, Foshan

(Xinxing Window Reporter/Su Hongpeng, Correspondent/Su Hongyin) On June 25, the Civil Affairs and Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shunde District, Foshan, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Xinxing County, and the People's Government of Tiantang Town jointly held a flower planting technology training course in Tiantang Town. More than 80 large-scale flower growers from Tiantang Town participated in the training.

At the training course, Shi Lin, associate professor at Shunde Polytechnic, using a combination of concentrated theoretical study and on-site practical operation, gave a detailed explanation focusing on the distinctive flower industry of Tiantang Town — the variety identification, propagation methods, production methods and cycles, cultivation techniques, marketing management, and industry development trends of lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana), and organized growers to visit a lucky bamboo planting base for on-site observation, learning and demonstration teaching, patiently answering growers' questions and sharing successful experience.

Some growers reported that this training course was rich in content and down-to-earth, highly professional, practical and operational, helping to increase farmers' income and playing a driving role in upgrading the local flower industry and increasing its benefits.
