Mushrooms growing in indoor plants are caused by fungi. Mushrooms are the fruiting bodies of fungi. One of the most common mushrooms found in indoor plants is the golden oyster mushroom (Pleurotus citrinopileatus) spawn. This is a pale yellow mushroom with a pleated or flat cap, depending on how mature they are.

What sawdust is best for cultivating golden oyster mushroom? Use mold-free cottonseed hulls or mixed hardwood sawdust as the raw material. Does spraying more water make the golden oyster mushroom grow faster? No, it has certain requirements; if the humidity is too high, it is not conducive to the growth of the golden oyster mushroom.

1. Bagging and inoculation: spread out the material pile, adjust the pH of the culture material to 7-8, and then it can be bagged and inoculated. For mycelium growth management, the temperature of the mycelium growth site should not exceed 25°C, and the relative air humidity is best at 60%-70%; at the same time, pay attention to shading and ventilation. The shed temperature should be controlled below 28°C, otherwise it will not grow.

2. One week after mycelium growth begins, check the mycelium germination. If a small amount of contaminant infection is found, ventilation and cooling of the mycelium growth room should be strengthened to control or inhibit the development of contaminants. Generally, the mycelium can grow to fill the entire bag in 25-30 days.

3. Fruiting management: after the mycelium has filled the bag, maintain it for another 3-7 days, and then fruiting management can begin. In production, mushroom wall fruiting management is mostly used; after the mushroom wall is built, water is poured on top of the wall, and the temperature of the mushroom house (shed) is kept at 15-20°C, with air humidity at 85%-95%.
