Inoculation Techniques for Wood Ear Mushrooms
1. The mist irrigation system consists of main, branch, and capillary three-level high-pressure polyethylene plastic pipes, micro atomizing nozzles, and pipe fittings. The main pipe diameter is 40-50 mm, the branch pipe diameter is 25-32 mm, and the capillary pipe diameter is 10-12 mm. During installation, the main pipe is connected to the water source and is perpendicular to the branch pipes; the branch pipes are perpendicular to each row of mushroom logs; the capillary pipes (generally 15...
After sterilization, the plastic bags are cooled to 20-30°C, then placed into an inoculation box (room), sprayed with 2-3% Lysol solution, and sealed for half an hour, or irradiated with an ultraviolet lamp for half an hour. Then select vigorously growing spawn. The spawn must be strictly selected; once confirmed to be free of contamination by unwanted microorganisms, wipe the outside of the spawn bottle thoroughly with an alcohol cotton ball for disinfection, then place it into the inoculation box (room), and crush the spawn with sterilized tweezers. In the sterile zone of a lit alcohol lamp, pour 5-6 grams of spawn into the plastic bag containing the substrate, then plug the bag opening with a cotton plug and wrap it with kraft paper as before inoculation. During operation, movements must be quick and nimble to reduce the chance of contamination by unwanted microorganisms.
