How do you manage the fruiting stage of lion's mane mushroom? Please explain
The fruiting stage of lion's mane mushroom can be managed by referring to the following methods:
1. Create suitable humidity During the growth and development of the fruiting body, water must be managed scientifically, and different amounts of water should be sprayed according to different conditions such as the size of the mushroom body, surface color, and clear weather. In summary: in trench cultivation, the water surface humidity is high, so there is no need to spray water. For indoor shelf cultivation, when the climate is dry, lightly spray the bag surface; for outdoor shelf cultivation with the hole opening facing downward for mushroom growth, lightly spray. To check whether spraying is appropriate, observe the spines: if the spines are fresh white and highly elastic, it shows that the humidity is sufficient. If the mushroom body is yellowish and withered, the spines are not obvious, and growth is slow, then the humidity is insufficient, and you should spray more and spray frequently. Spraying water must be combined with ventilation to keep the air fresh and allow the fruiting body to grow robustly. The cultivation site must create a relative air humidity suitable at 85%~90%.
2. Strengthen ventilation and air exchange Poor ventilation causes excessive accumulation of carbon dioxide, which stimulates the stipe to branch continuously and inhibits development of the central part, resulting in coral-like deformed mushrooms. For outdoor shelf cultivation or bed cultivation, the film should be uncovered at 8 a.m. every day for 30 minutes of ventilation. When the fruiting body grows larger, do this 2~3 times a day, but never let the wind blow directly on the mushroom body, so as to avoid shriveling.
3. Reasonably adjust the light source During the mushroom-growing period, there should be 300~500 lux of scattered light. For outdoor shade sheds, master "three parts sun and seven parts shade, with dappled sunlight able to shine in"; for indoor cultivation in sunny places, hang straw curtains for shade; in basements and air-raid shelters, install 1 electric lamp of 60~100 watts every 5~7 m, with 8 hours of lighting per day, to meet the growth needs of the fruiting body.
