Bottle-cultivated white fungus has a short production cycle, is not restricted by season, requires little labor, and brings quick returns, making it a very good household sideline. The method for bottle-cultivated white fungus can refer to the following:
         1. Preparation of the culture medium
        1. Formula of the culture medium: 50 kg sawdust, 15 kg wheat bran or rice bran, 1 kg gypsum, 0.75 kg sucrose, 1 kg soybean powder, 0.25 kg magnesium sulfate, 60-70 kg water.
         2. Preparation method: First mix the sawdust, wheat bran, gypsum, and soybean powder evenly in proportion, then pour in the sucrose and magnesium sulfate dissolved in warm water, and stir thoroughly. Pinch a handful of the mixed medium; it should hold water between the fingers but not drip.
         3. Bottling and sterilization: Put the mixed culture medium promptly into 500-750 g wide-mouth bottles, fill and press firmly, and press a inoculation hole in the middle about the size of a broad bean, about 2 cm deep and 1.5 cm wide. Then cover the bottle mouth with plastic film plus a layer of kraft paper, tie it tightly with string, place it in a pressure cooker, keep at 100°C, and sterilize continuously for 7 hours. After cooling, move it to the inoculation room for later use.
         2. Inoculation
Move the sterilized cultivation bottles and the test tubes containing the spawn into the inoculation box for inoculation, then cover again with the film and paper and tie tightly. Each bottle of 750 g capacity spawn can inoculate 50-80 cultivation bottles.
        3. Cultivation
After inoculation, immediately move the cultivation bottles into the cultivation room, arrange them in layers on wooden shelves, with 5-6 layers per shelf and about 40 cm between layers. After placing them on the shelves, swap the upper and lower layers every 3-4 days to prevent uneven temperature.
         4. Harvesting
After inoculation, following 30-40 days of cultivation, when the white fungus reaches 10-16 cm in diameter and appears white and translucent, it can be harvested. Cut off the whole fruit body at the base with a small knife, and immediately process and dry it to prevent mold and rot.
