How should white king oyster mushroom cultivation be managed well? Please give an introduction to the management methods
For cultivating white king oyster mushrooms, you can refer to the following methods for management:
1 Cultivation season
The white king oyster mushroom is a medium-temperature type fungus; the optimum temperature for mycelial growth is 24--27°C, and the optimum temperature for fruiting body growth is 15--20°C. Therefore, the cultivation season should be arranged so that inoculation takes place in early September, and the mushroom-producing period begins in mid-October; in spring, inoculation should preferably take place in early February, and fruiting ends in mid-May.
2 Management during the fruiting period
After inoculation, the mycelial growth temperature is 25--28°C, the indoor relative air humidity is about 70%, and ventilation should be provided frequently. Prevent exposure to strong light. After 25--30 days of cultivation and management, when primordia appear on the surface of the substrate in the bag or beside the bag and physiological maturity is reached, move them into the fruiting shed for fruiting management. Remove the ring and cotton plug, open the bag mouth, control the temperature at 10--20°C, and cultivate for about 7 days, when primordia appear and differentiate into young buds. When the mushroom stem grows to 2 cm, increase the amount of water sprayed and strengthen ventilation. In the early stage, the relative air humidity should be maintained at 80%, and in the later stage at 85%--90%; prevent exposure to strong light.
3 Causes of uneven fruiting and methods to overcome them
The main reason for uneven fruiting of white king oyster mushrooms is that during mycelial growth after inoculation, some mycelia have not yet reached physiological maturity when they are moved into the fruiting shed for fruiting management.
The method to overcome this is: during the mycelial growth period, maintain the temperature at 25--28°C; after about 25--30 days, the mycelia fill the bag, and thereafter cultivate for 30--40 days in an environment with a temperature of 22--25°C and a relative air humidity of 70%--75%. Then, at a relative air humidity of 80%--85%, use scattered light to induce fruiting; the daytime temperature is 13--15°C, and the nighttime temperature is 8°C. After 10--15 days, white mushroom buds appear.
4 Harvesting
When the fruiting body grows to 8--12 cm, it can be harvested. After harvesting, stop spraying water, and clean up the residue at the bag mouth and around it. Let the mycelia rest. After 1 week, spray water, and induce buds at constant temperature for about 15 days, and the second flush of mushrooms will appear.
