For summer oyster mushrooms, you can refer to the following management methods:

Mycelium block (bag) air-drying method. This method is relatively simple and labor-saving. Air-dry the mycelium blocks (bags) that have not fruited or have only produced 1-2 flushes (bags that have not fruited do not need to be opened), and place them in a cool, ventilated place. If placed outdoors, add a cover to prevent rain and protect against moisture and mold. After the temperature drops in September, soak the mycelium blocks (bags) in a water tank so they absorb water thoroughly, and then they can fruit.

Ditch storage method. Choose a place with higher terrain and convenient drainage, dig a storage ditch 50 cm wide and 60-70 cm deep, pat the ditch walls firm, and sprinkle lime (to facilitate disinfection and sterilization and prevent contamination by miscellaneous bacteria), then place the mycelium blocks (bags) into the ditch. Cover the ditch with soil about 50 cm thick, 15 cm above the ground, in an arched shape to facilitate drainage. Take them out after autumn begins and let them fruit.

Wet soil covering method. Slightly air-dry the mycelium blocks (bags) or the substrate surface that have not fruited or have only produced 1-2 flushes, then cover them directly with wet soil, with a soil cover thickness of 40 cm. This way, the temperature fluctuation range is small, the respiration intensity is low, and the metabolic action is slow, which can keep the mycelium relatively vigorous. After the temperature drops in September, remove the covering soil, replenish water sufficiently, and they can fruit. You can also slightly air-dry the mycelium blocks (bags) or the substrate surface, first cover with plastic film, then cover with 3 cm thick soil and pat it firm, and then cover the soil with straw curtains for shading to prevent high temperatures. After the temperature drops in autumn, carry out management and let them continue to fruit.
