When growing oyster mushrooms in summer, the following points should be noted:
       1. Choose suitable varieties   Variety selection for summer cultivation of oyster mushrooms is especially important; generally buy from qualified scientific research institutions, otherwise it may lead to delayed fruiting, reduced yield or total crop loss.
       2. Raw material selection and mixing   Raw materials should be selected dry and free of mold, and sun-dried for 2-3 days before mixing to prevent the growth of contaminating bacteria and to avoid affecting yield. Generally, for every 100 kg of cottonseed hulls or corn cobs, add 3 kg of lime, 1 kg of diammonium phosphate, 100 g of Gudazhuang, and 100 g of Kemeling.
        3. Ferment fully and thoroughly   Summer temperatures are high. To increase the air permeability of the compost pile, the raw materials must be granular; if corn cobs are used, coarser is better than finer. Lower the height and width of the pile, make more ventilation holes to increase oxygen, and ferment for 3-5 days. When white actinomycetes grow evenly on the surface of the pile, and the appearance is brown with a fresh fragrance, it indicates that fermentation has been thoroughly and successfully completed.
        4. Appropriately increase the sowing rate   For summer cultivation, it is best to use 20cm*45cm*3-thread polyethylene bags. To speed up spawn running, increase the inoculation amount, keeping it at 15%-20%. Generally, the bags will be fully colonized in 18-20 days.
        5. Prevent heat and cool down throughout the process    During the spawn-running period, place the bags in a "#" shape, with 5-10 cm between bags and 10 cm between stacks, so as to fully dissipate heat. During the fruiting period, place 2-3 thin bamboo poles between each layer of bags for insulation to prevent burning of the spawn later. Ventilate in the morning and evening, spray groundwater on the walls and floor at noon to cool down, and keep the temperature inside the shed below 30 degrees.
        6. Do a good job of disease and pest prevention   For summer cultivation of oyster mushrooms, prevention should be the main approach, combining prevention and control. During the spawn-running period, every 5-7 days spray Junjuesha and Guchongjing or Diguchong and other insecticides once on both ends and around the bags, strictly preventing contamination by foreign bacteria and invasion of the bags by mushroom flies, mushroom mosquitoes or other pests that damage the mycelium. If mushroom pests have already invaded the bags, Guchong Yixunjing can be used at 150 per box per cubic meter for sealed fumigation. During the fruiting period, regularly spray disinfectant and Guchongjing and other insecticides specially for edible fungi on the mushroom shed and the surrounding environment to prevent phytotoxicity and keep diseases and pests under control at the budding stage.
