How should fertilizer and water be managed during the fruiting period of enoki mushrooms? Please advise

Because during the fruiting period of enoki mushrooms it is not advisable to spray water directly onto the fruiting bodies and into the substrate, generally after harvesting 2 flushes of mushrooms the substrate becomes severely short of water, making it very difficult to fruit again.

By changing the conventional management methods and timely strengthening fertilizer and water management during the fruiting period of enoki mushrooms, 3 to 5 flushes of mushrooms can be produced, and the fruiting is uniform, the stipes are thick and strong, the caps are small and glossy, and no scratching is needed.

After the enoki mushroom mycelium reaches physiological maturity, move the fungus bags from the spawn-running room to the mushroom beds in the shed, open the bags and induce budding to promote fruiting. Before moving the bags, spread plastic film on the mushroom beds, raise the edges of the film by 2 cm, and add water 0.5 cm deep inside the film. After moving the bags, cover the top and surroundings of the fungus bags with black plastic film to block light, and at the same time adjust the humidity so that the humidity inside the film remains stable at 90%, promoting uniform fruiting. After harvesting the first flush of mushrooms, replenish water into the substrate and spray 200 grams of nutrient solution to promote the second flush of fruiting. After harvesting the second flush of mushrooms, the substrate shrinks noticeably, gaps appear between the substrate and the bag, and in the later stage mushrooms tend to grow from the bottom and sides of the bag, which affects the quality of the enoki mushrooms. A large watering can be given to the bags once, replenishing 300 grams of water per bag, prompting the substrate to absorb water and expand; the excess water can submerge the bottom of the bag, causing the bottom of the bag to lack oxygen and preventing fruiting there, so that mushrooms can only grow from the surface of the substrate. After such treatment, another 3 flushes of mushrooms can be produced.

In addition, during the fruiting period of enoki mushrooms, ventilation should also be strengthened to ensure sufficient oxygen and suitable humidity inside the shed.
