Red wood ear can be propagated by cuttings; choose the tip of a young shoot with 2 nodes as the cutting. The temperature is best kept at 15-25°C. In winter it should overwinter in a greenhouse.

Red wood ear has a certain therapeutic effect on cooling the blood, stopping bleeding, hematemesis, epistaxis, hemoptysis, traumatic bleeding, dysentery, dysmenorrhea and dry, itchy skin.
